Save the Children Lithuania is a non-political, non-religious organization that advocates for children’s rights and their well-being. Its mission and main goals are to ensure that every child grows up in a loving and caring family in a safe environment, to eradicate physical and psychological violence against the child, and to protect children from bullying at school or elsewhere. The main fields of the organization’s work include child protection, reduction of children neglect, advocacy and the spread of children’s rights, and international aid.
Save the Children Lithuania supports Rokiskis Children’s Day Centers, which are attended by 45 children in need on a daily basis. The centers are a place where children spend their time after school, receiving hot meals and educational support. They are also able to participate in free excursions to some of Lithuania’s most famous places and even attend summer camps. The support provided helps families in need raise their children in a better environment, while also ensuring positive changes in the lives of the children.
