Next Friday, July 26th, the rally event “CBet Rally Rokiškis” organised for the eighth time will start in Rokiškis. More than 90 competitors from Lithuania and five other foreign countries expressed their desire to start here.
This competition will not only be the fourth stage of the Lithuanian automobile rally championship. Also, for the fourth time in the season, participants of Lithuanian automobile rally sprint championship will try their strength here. So, the total number of participants from both leagues will exceed 90.
Although the majority of the entry list consists of Lithuanian racers, Rokiškis traditionally welcomes crews from other countries. Sportsmen from Latvia, Estonia, Finlan, Poland and Ukraine will also race together with the Lithuanians in the Special Stages of “CBet Rally Rokiškis”.
It will be possible to see five R5 category cars driven by Giedrius Notkus, Vladas Jurkevičius, Rokas Steponavičius, Nedas Radišauskas and Polish Jocz Tymoteusz at the Special Stages. Irmantas Buivydas, Paulius Beniušis, Giedrius Firantas decided to race in N5 cars. Rokas Markovičius, who until now drove a Subaru, also submitted an application with a Hyundai i20 car.
The ranks of participants driving N5+ cars also look quite solid. Deividas Gezevičius, Eugenijus Sladkevičius, Linas Vaškys, Egidijus Valeiša and Emils Blūms will fight here. The battle between Vaidotas Paškevičius and Ramūnas Čapkauskas driving Mitsubishi Lancer EVO cars will again be expected in the LARČ6 classification. Marius Vēgėlė also returns to the races in this class.
As always, it will be hot in the LARČ9 class, where the battle is boiling between the crews driving BMW cars. Even ten of them are registered here.
The participants of the Lithuanian Automobile Rally Championship will have to overcome fifteen Special Stages in two days. A distance of 51 km awaits them on the first day, and another 92 km on the second. Last year Vaidotas Žala won this competition.
