On 3-4th of August „Samsonas Rally Rokiškis“ will take place in Rokiškis area. Event will bring fastest racers from Lithuania and stars of rally from abroad to the start line. Spectators will have a choice of 13 special stages. 3 spectator zones will be prepared where fans will have an opportunity to enjoy views of amazing jumps and other impressive moments.
Organizator of this rally Audrius Gimžauskas agreed to tell about spectator zones. He ensured that rally fans won‘t regret choosing recommended areas. Organizer explained that when preparing these zones focus was on quality not on the quantity of areas so fans would get a guaranteed dose of adrenaline.
First spectator zone marked with letter „A“ will be arranged in Rokiškis city center. Action will take place here on first day of rally. Competitors will have SS4 (Rokiškio sūris) and SS5 (Rokiškis Grand). Spectator area A will be located next to the main gates to Rokiškis manor.
„This stage will be held on principle of carousel twice. Artificial jump is installed there. So memorable moments will continue for even few hours. Huge LED screen located in spectator zone will broadcast live all the special stage. Several different cameras and a drone will capture race on all 2 km of SS. So spectator will see jumps and passing by cars live as well as their race in other sections of SS. There also will be two places where participants will have to draw „suns“ around cones. We recommend comming to the area on foot. Car parking available on Laisvės and Pievú streets. Special stage and broadcast on LED screen is donated by „Rokiškio sūris“ and will be free of charge for all spectators. That‘s safe, clean and convenient place to watch rally stage“,- said Audrius Gimžauskas.
Second spectator zone marked with letter „B“ will be located in SS6 (Valvoline) and SS8 (Andrum) on Saturday. Long straight road followed by sharp right turn goes from the side of Bagdoniškis settlement. Sharp left turn 150 m. further. According to organizers this area is easy te reach by car. Co-ordinates of spectator zone B: N-55°53’59.67″, E-25°42’54.78″
„Visibility in this area is great. One kilometer ahead and half a kilometer bakwards is clearly visible with a jump and two very difficult turns. Last year estonians rolled over here with GAZ. That zone is just for a real rally fan who want to experience amazing moments from the morning. Access to the zone from the side road by any kind of car. YBy the way if you choose this zone you will have enough time to move to spectator zone C“,- Audrius Gimžauskas explained.
Spectator zone C will be arranged in SS10 (Valvoline) and SS12 (Fremax). The famous Big Jump of Vaidotas Žala is located here. However that is no the only one reason why it is worth choosing this spectator area. Co-ordinates of spectator zone C: N-55°58’21.33″, E-25°53’49.12″
„I will tell you a secret that jump of Vaidotas Žala was additionaly increased. Next jump after was also raised. So there should be enough of impressive jumps for sure. This area also has well developed full infrastructure, commentators, easy access from the side road. So Ireally recommend choosing spectator zones as they are as much as picturesque and convenient“,- said Audrius Gimžauskas.
