This year on gravel roads of Rokiškis area will be very hot on 9 – 10 of August. “Samsonas Rally Rokiškis” will be held. Best rally teams of Lithuania and fastest drivers from abroad will participate. Participants of this race are already used to impressive prizes. So this year will not be the worse. One team will win brand new “Toyota”.
Decision of “Samsonas Rally Rokiškis“ to present a brand new “Toyota Yaris” with a help of partners last year was a historical as car became one of main prizes in rally. Organizers inform that this year winners
of R2 class will we awarded with such a prize as well.
Last year 6 team from 5 countries (Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Ireland) were fighting for the prize. After a tense race between Ralfs Sirmacis and Ken Torn and after a mistake of Estonian driver, Ralfs
became winner of R2 class and winner of new “Toyota Yaris”.
This year struggle for “Toyota Yaris” in R2 class is going to be more tough. Organizers predict bigger number of R2 class participants. Racers from Belgium and Italy already informed organizers of “Samsonas Rally Rokiškis“of their wish to participate in rally. They also consider if they should go with their own technics or rent R2 class car for race in Baltic countries.
During 2 days of “Samsonas Rally Rokiškis“participants will race on 13 special stages length of 140 km. Stages will consist of gravel mainly. However, there will be a tarmac stages as well. Participants will drive
the streets of Rokiškis town next to historical manor. Specatators will enjoy two days full of action and adrenaline as well as a lot of additional entertainment and concerts.
