Date „Samsonas Rally Rokiškis“ which will be organized for fourth time was put forward from August 14-15 to July 31 – August 1.
Decision made by organizers of “Samsonas Rally Rokiškis“ was made due to COVID-19 worldwide pandemic and its impact to rally schedule in all the world.
“Due to quarantine dates of some events were changed. So happened to European Rally Championship event “Rally Liepaja”. International Automobile federation put its dated on “Samsonas Rally Rokiškis“ dates. We were forced to change date of our event. We didn`t want dates of rallies in Rokiškis and Liepaja to duplicate. So we moved race two weeks earlier“ – organizer of „Samsonas Rally Rokiškis“ Audrius Gimžauskas said.
According to Audrius Gimžauskas dates won`t have any negative impact on organizing works. It`a opposite. Organizers expect better weather and big interest of spectators and participants.
„Samsonas Rally Rokiškis“ will be event of Lihuanian and Latvian championship, „Baltic Rally Trophy“ and „R2 Baltic Cup”. It is believed that rally in Rokiškis will be one of the first event after strict quarantine period.
