Last year in Nepriklausomybės square of Rokiškis in Service zone area of „Samsonas Rally Rokiškis“, unusual race took place before official opening ceremony. Company „KUBOTA“ suggested participants to compete in a lawn mower race. So two Lithuanian rally drivers – Vytautas Švedas and Vaidotas Žala accepted the challenge.
After a loss to Vytautas Švedas last year, Vaidotas Žala invites him to meet on „Kubota“ lawn mowers this year again. Pilot of „Agrorodeo“ team states, that he has improved in driving this kind of equipment. So this year he will try to gain title of fastest lawn mower driver.
Organizers paid attention to such an enthusiastic statements of sportsman. So it was decided to make „KUBOTA“ lawn mower race the annual cup of „Samsonas Rally Rokiškis“. It means that participants will seek the title of fastest lawn mower driver every year or will try to keep it for one more year.
Any sportsmen will have a possibility to challenge the winner. Or rival will be picked by „Samsonas Rally Rokiškis“ spectators.
